DIGITAL REPORTING & LEGAL TRANSCRIPTION PACKAGE
This curriculum pack includes both the Digital Reporting and Legal Transcriptionist courses. (This package does not include the Prepare to Pass course.)
This 140-hour package is designed to be taken by a person wishing to prepare for AAERT certification as a digital court reporter and legal transcriptionist.
Individuals taking this course will learn about the court system, legal procedure, terminology, ethics, professionalism, confidentiality. During the digital reporting portion of the course, students will learn how to cover all types of legal proceedings, including how to work with digital reporting software and equipment. There is no hands-on training with digital reporting equipment.
During the legal transcription portion of the course, students will gain the knowledge to format, transcribe, edit, and proofread legal transcripts for correct grammar, punctuation, and word usage.

PREPARE FOR PRACTICAL - CET
This CEU course provides students with helpful feedback on transcription assignments to help them prepare for the CET practical exam.
This course is ideal for a transcriptionist who is not familiar with federal formatting rules and wants to take and pass the CET practical exam. This course does not include other information on the CET knowledge and practical exam like the legal system, terminology, ethics, and English, grammar, and punctuation.
