Legal Transcriptionists Wanted – U.S. Based Only

Legacy Transcription Services is expanding and looking for detail-oriented, reliable U.S.-based transcriptionists with an interest in legal work. This is not general audio typing.  Our clients are attorneys and courts, so accuracy and professionalism are critical.

Starting Pay: $1.50 per page
Opportunities for Raises: Based on accuracy, consistency, and reliability

Requirements:

• Must reside in the United States (we do not hire internationally).

• Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and legal formatting.

• Ability to accept and apply constructive feedback professionally.

• Must have reliable internet, a working computer, and transcription software.

• Willing and able to take on and complete at least 5 audio hours within a week.

• Must communicate proactively. If you run into issues (tech, schedule, etc.), we expect to know right away, not on the due date.

• Deadlines are non-negotiable.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Prior experience with legal transcription or court proceedings.

• Familiarity with transcript templates, style guides, or formatting rules.

• Ability to research legal terminology quickly and accurately.

• Comfort handling confidential material with discretion.

• Consistent work habits and a track record of meeting deadlines.
