On the Record, LLC is seeking an experienced Digital Court Reporter to cover in-person appeals hearing in Sacramento, California.

Location: Sacramento, CA (in person)
Proceeding Type: Appeals hearing
Assignment Dates: 2/9–2/13 and 2/16–2/20
Position Type: Contract assignment with other full-time work available
Pay Rate: $75.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Capture a complete and accurate digital record of the proceeding using approved recording equipment

• Monitor audio quality in real time and make adjustments as needed

• Log speakers, exhibits, and on/off-the-record times

• Maintain chain-of-custody for all audio files

• Securely upload and transmit audio and required notes following each day’s proceedings

• Adhere to all confidentiality and professionalism requirements

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a digital court reporter (appeals or administrative hearings preferred)

• Proficiency with multi-channel digital recording systems

• Professional courtroom demeanor, reliability, and punctuality

• Ability to follow firm-specific procedures and reporting standards
