Description
Function: Responsible for scheduling and supervising staff, training and evaluating staff, recording court proceedings, processing recording requests, and performing related administrative functions. The position reports major activities through periodic meetings. Travels throughout the circuit. Headquarters subject to change based on the needs of the Court. Duties include but are not limited to:
-prepare and maintain statistical reports
-report court proceedings utilizing specialized recording equipment and supervise subordinate staff
-ensure proper operation of equipment and archiving of records
-oversee, review and approve expenditures
Minimum Requirements: Combination of college and/or related experience of 9 years, including 2 years of supervisory experience and a working knowledge of courtroom procedures. A/V experience preferred. Must be certified by the National Court Reporters Association, National Verbatim Reporters Association or American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers or obtain a certification within 1 year of employment at the employee's cost.
This State-funded position is paid monthly and includes the State of Florida benefits package. The successful applicant is required to undergo a background check including fingerprinting.
