Description
We are looking to hire both digital and stenographic court reporters in Florida.
**Full Training Can Be Made Available**
Job Description:
If you want to be your own boss and have flexible hours this might be the job for you. We are looking for Digital and Steno Court Reporters in Miami, FT, Lauderdale , West Palm Beach , etc. must be a Florida State Notary.
Responsibilities of a Digital Court Reporter:
- Take down the written record in court proceedings (i.e., depositions, hearings, trials and other litigation procedures)
- Operate basic audio equipment with the ability to perform simple troubleshooting
- Reporting to different locations on a daily basis (THIS IS NOW A MAINLY REMOTE POSITION)
- Maintaining equipment
- Submit job information and documents in a timely manner
- Communicate orders timely
Necessary Skills:
- Strong typing skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows
- Basic knowledge of legal and medical terminology
- Attention to detail
- Professional attire
- Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to meet deadlines
- Ability to learn and use court reporting software programs
Qualifications / Requirements of a Court Reporter:
- Must have a Florida Notary
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel
COVID-19 considerations:
- Basic Knowledge of Zoom
Experience:
- Typing: 1 year (Preferred)
Language:
- English (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Certified Notary Public (Preferred)
- CER (Preferred)
Work Location:
- Fully Remote
